Captured Gnome/ Troll

Ok Last caged creature for the week.

Fairy Cage

Ok, I think we have got the cage into a working design. This one houses a captured fairy. (Mom makes the Fairies with Sculpey)
I think this one is the keeper.
Thanks for stopping by and looking.

Butterfly Cage attempt 2

I am not sure about this one.
I don't like the way the top turned out.
I used Wild Card with the diamond background for the panels this time. I like the open-ness (?) about the sides but still think the 1st one is better.

Butterfly cage

Hello,
Sorry about the long time in between postings but my life can get a little crazy. I have had a chance to slow down since I have been ill the last two days and home from work. I can only take so much bed and T.V. so I ventured into my craftroom this afternoon. This is what I created. It is just a prototype and I plan on working up a cleaner more refined version this weekend.
Any suggestions on how to improve it would be great.
I used George and Design studio for this using squares and rectangles.
The large butterfly inside is from Art Nouveau and the smaller ones are from a MS punch
The door was an after thought and will need to be improved upon.
Hopefully the next one photographs better
It stands about 9" tall and is 6" square at the base

pic from inside the door little dark sorry

thanks for looking

Blast from the Past Snow Globe

I have been swamped at work and home lately and have not had a chance to complete anything new. I thought I would post some Older cards and things that I have done in the past until I can get time to create again.
These are some Snow Globe Christmas Cards that I made back in 2007 when all  I had was the Baby Cricut and a handful of carts. Sometimes I feel I was forced to be more creative back then and have to too much to choose from now.
NOOOOOO I won't go back to using scissors and plastic templates. You can't make me.

The globe is from Doodle Charms
cut at 5" x 2 the back is folded at the top about 1/2 inch from the top and glued to make the "card"
I then cut a bunch (don't remember the exact number) of silhouette circles from George I think they were at 4.5 but you might have to play with the size. (DS or Craftroom will make this easier but as they were not around then I had to cut a lot of different sizes to find the right one) Layer these and add a little glitter and embellishments. Add a piece of clear acetate on top and one last silhouette circle to match the card. I ran glue all around the edges of the built up circles to seal.
I hope that my instructions were some what clear. (as mud right)

Art Nouveau Butterfly

Here are a couple of Easel cards I made with my new Art Nouveau cartridge and my E2
The butterfly is cut at 3 in
The cards are standard A2 size easel cards
I used pop dots on some to raise the butterfly off the page
